About 6 months ago, I joined the Uncommon Pursuit community and growth group, which has evolved into Friends Following Jesus and The Daily. It's not an instant game changer, but through the consistency of the daily messages and weekly meetings, I am more motivated and consistent in my own Bible study, wanting to learn more, show up and dig deeper. Having the opportunity to discuss and hear other people's knowledge, experience and perspective is so valuable and is helping me grow spiritually. As a fairly new Christian, I had only 1 or 2 existing Christian friends, (with a 12hr time difference too!), so I often felt lost and isolated. I am very grateful to be making new friends through this Community. If you are unsure, give it a try, it's worth the risk!

Truly grateful for the rare combination of transparency and intimacy mixed with theologically rich reflection that can be found in these daily devotional messages. We need more leaders like Carson in the church!

I deeply value my daily time engaging with Friends Following Jesus. The expositional approach to Scripture, combined with Carson’s insights and thought-provoking questions to share with fellow disciples, has been exactly what I need in this season of life. I highly recommend FFJ to anyone looking for a fresh, meaningful way to deepen their personal devotion and spiritual reflection.

The studies bless my heart knowing that we can grow together in love for our savior Jesus. The lessons give me a good framework and direction, knowing we are studying biblical sound teaching. I like the availability of shooting a quick text and saying, "have you read this today? What do you think?"

I have found the Friends Following Jesus (FFJ) devotionals meaningful and perfect for daily meditation. But, sometimes certain devotionals sound a clarion call to my heart. They resonate deeply and their message is thought-provoking and/or timely. This week (week of March 16) devotionals were like a bouquet of fragrant flowers. I am trying to inhale them in, imprint them in my head and heart. Everyone has been given gifts by the Perfect Giver. This is one of Carson’s - writing to inspire, change, reassure, encourage and sustain those on the road of discipleship.

I loved this course. I just happened on it while searching for something to study. The questions that were given to me in the 12 Steps were difficult. They were not simple yes or no questions. They required me to be honest with myself, to reflect and to dig more deeply into my walk with Christ. I realized some things that I need to work on. I am grateful, this course has really helped my faith to grow. Thank you.

12 Steps to God was amazing! So much so I decided to teach it to my Bible class. It shows the practicality of the search for God and it shows that the author did due diligence to his topic.

I enjoyed 12 Steps to God, because it's simple and easy to understand, and yet the questions are thought provoking, and the lessons are based in God's word. It's well written and the discussion is challenging and interesting.

I liked that it made you really think. Some of the questions were hard to understand and some of the words used didn't make sense in the context they were used. The course has helped me to focus daily on my Christian journey with enthusiasm. I have filled a large notebook with the lessons and my answers and will go through it again. Thank you.

I know that it will take some time for this constant awareness of life with God to be continually present for me, but I already have been reminded at key times during the day that have helped adjust my perspective. Most importantly, I know I can continue this simple practice month after month, adding helps as they seem to make sense, and admitting falling short, and getting back on track without the need for guilt.

I lead a small group of Christians in Bible studies. We primarily use the Bible as our text. The 12 Steps to God is an aid to our normal studies. We have a very positive response to this book. I especially like the beginning with Emotional Honesty. Taking honesty to the level of being honest with God is a great idea. An idea I had not even considered but realize now how important it is to stress that point. All the other steps require being honest with yourself, with others and especially with God.

Before I stumbled into the Uncommon Pursuit community, I was at a point where fear would often rear its ugly head, and I would panic. I want and need to be where I am now. I truly believe 12 Steps to God and Together brought me closer to Him! They have affirmed my faith and given me peace with God.

I feel so encouraged as I go through the "Together" guide. Each day is a fresh reminder of how much God loves me. Instead of the "go to" response I usually have with studies where I see more of how I fall short and what I should be doing, this study reminds me that my "only task is to persist in His holy presence." Wow! That is my only task. How freeing! My goal is to love Him more, and this guide is a simple, sweet way of helping me do that very thing.

"12 Steps to God" has been a God send. It helped me to get closer to God. The work that you have done here will save many.

The biggest thing that I love about this workbook is that it presents the opportunity for me to really look inside myself, and it has actually helped me see more of where I really am in my walk with the Lord. I have to admit, some of it has not been where I thought I was. I feel very blessed to have found Uncommon Pursuit.

12 Steps to God will help you understand the Bible more and bring you closer to God.

12 Steps to God has impacted my spiritual growth by providing a personal and insightful roadmap to understand God, the Word, and how the Holy Spirit invites me to respond. Using 12 Steps in my personal study times and the online community has also equipped me to serve the local church more effectively.

Uncommon Pursuit is the only social media engagement I know that inspires holiness in its users.

12 Steps to God has led me to a renewed hope of growing in spiritual maturity by highlighting some of the most significant and actionable steps I could take for a lifelong pursuit of God. It is deeply convicting and has helped me develop a sound biblical perspective about Christian spiritual growth. 12 Steps to God offers a fresh start for those feeling disillusioned with modern Christianity.
