Jack Harmon
BOARD MEMBER
Jack grew up in Marietta, GA and now lives in Roswell with his wife Susan. Together they attend Fellowship Bible Church where he serves as a Stephen Minister and community group co-leader. He is a Fellow of the C. S. Lewis Institute and serves as a mentor to other men who desire to articulate, defend, and live their faith in Christ in personal and public life.
Jack became a Christian during his senior year of high school in 1980 before leaving to attend college at Georgia Tech. Eager to share his faith in this new environment, he faced many questions and arguments challenging his Christian worldview that ultimately stifled his spiritual growth. After 20 years of "wandering in the wilderness" he began praying and searching for the answers he had previously feared for so many years would be inadequate. The results were more than satisfying and he has enjoyed a rich and loving relationship with the Lord of both the heart and mind ever since.
Jack is a financial planner and co-owner of Harmon Financial Advisors, Inc., a wealth management firm located in Dunwoody. He is a former President and Chairman of the Board for the Financial Planning Association of Georgia and currently serves as a Commissioner on the CFP Board’s Discipline and Ethics Commission. Jack holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and enjoys playing tennis and hiking with his wife.
Jack says, “I'm excited about Uncommon Pursuit because we have an amazing opportunity to serve God in advancing his kingdom in bold and innovative ways!”
